Our Promise Began with One Little Boy

On November 8, 2025, our lives changed forever.
Luka entered the world at just 33 weeks and 4 days, weighing only a few pounds. Like many premature babies, he was tiny, fragile, and fighting from the very beginning. We never imagined that only days later our family would be facing one of the most devastating diagnoses a parent can hear—Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC).
At just six days old, Luka underwent his first life-saving surgery.
What followed was a journey that tested our faith, our strength, and our hearts. Over the next 110 days, Luka endured five major surgeries, countless procedures, setbacks, and victories. We spent day after day beside his hospital bed, celebrating every small milestone and praying through every difficult moment.
There were days filled with fear and uncertainty. Days when we wondered what tomorrow would bring. But through it all, we witnessed God's faithfulness in extraordinary ways. We were surrounded by incredible doctors, nurses, therapists, family, friends, and countless prayers that carried us through our darkest moments.
Luka is more than a survivor.
He is living proof that hope is stronger than fear, faith is stronger than uncertainty, and miracles still happen.
During our time in the NICU, we learned something that changed us forever. Families with critically ill babies aren't just fighting for their child's life—they're also struggling with the everyday burdens of travel, meals, lodging, missed work, and financial stress. No parent should have to choose between paying bills and being beside their baby.
That realization became our mission.
God's Promise Through Luka Foundation was created so that families walking a similar path know they are not alone.
Our goal is to provide practical assistance through gas cards, meals, hotel stays, Luka Promise Boxes, emergency support, and encouragement so parents can focus on what matters most—their child.
Every family we serve is a reminder of where we started.
